The Ministry of  Economy, Trade and Industry has decided to seek amendments to legislation governing the quality of gasoline. The objective of the revisions would be to permit the mixture of biomass material such as alcohol derived from plants to be mixed gasoline. Such gasoline is already being utilized in the USA, but this will be the first time in Japan.
