Article 29 (Notice, etc., of conclusion, etc., of agreements for importation of technology)

Any non-resident (including any branch, etc., in Japan of a non-resident. Hereinafter in this Paragraph and following Paragraph, the same) and resident who are to conclude an agreement for transfer of the former's industrial property rights or other rights concerning technology, or for establishment of a right to the use of the same, or for rendering technical guidance in managerial know-how by the former, including renewal or amendment of such an agreement (hereinafter referred to as "conclusion of agreements for importation of technology, etc") must make a report, as provided by Cabinet Order, to the Minister of Finance and the Minister(s) in charge of the industry involved, concerning the said conclusion, etc., of agreements for importation of technology. However, concerning the said conclusion, etc. of agreements for importation of technology, for which the notification of Paragraph 1, of the following Paragraph is required, these restrictions do not apply.
