CHAPTER 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
Article 1. Application of Regulations From among the documents concerning financial calculations which are filed based on the provisions of the Securities Exchange Law (Law No. 25, of 1948. Hereinafter "the Law") Article 5; Article 7; Article 9, Paragraph 1; Article 10, Paragraph 1; or Article 24, Paragraph 1, Paragraph 2, or Paragraph 3; (From among those provisions, those which apply mutatis mutandis in Article 24-2, Paragraph 1, and with respect to those corporations designated by the Minister of Finance (hereinafter "designated corporation') based on the provisions of Article 1, Paragraph 1 of the Regulations Concerning the Terminology Forms and Methods of Preparation of Financial Statements, etc. (Ministry of Finance Ordinance No. 59 of 1963. Hereinafter "Financial Statements,etc. Regulations") including those situations where these provisions apply mutatis mutandis in Article 27 of the Law) the terminology, forms and methods of preparation of the consolidated balance sheet, the consolidated income statement and the statement consolidated surplus (hereinafter "consolidated financial statements") shall be based on the determinations of these provisions, excepting those which are subject to the application of Article 1, Paragraph 2 of the Regulations Concerning the Terminology Forms and Methods of Preparation of Financial Statements, etc. (Ministry of Finance Ordinance No. 59, of 1963. Hereinafter "Financial Statements, etc. Regulations") and concerning those matters not determined within these provisions, they shall be in accord with corporate accounting standards generally recognized to be fair and appropriate.
