CHAPTER I GENERAL PROVISIONS
Article I (Objectives)
This law shall have as its objective, in view of the public character of the banking business, together with the maintaining of trustiworthiness and the securing of the protection of depositors, the smooth facilitation of finance, via the fixing of healthy and appropriate operations in the banking business and thus the promotion of the healthy development of the national economy.
2. In the application of this law, consideration must be given to respecting the independence of endeavors concerning the operation of the business of banks.
