Article 48 (The Provision, etc., of Data of Foreign Bank Branches)

In those situations where the Minister of Finance grants several of the licenses of Article 4, Paragraph 1 to one foreign bank, he can designate one of the foreign bank branches from among the branches of the foreign bank related to the said licenses, and can request the filing of books and documents in which are made notations, consolidated, concerning items as determined by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Finance concerning all of the branches of the said foreign bank.

2. The Minister of Finance, when he deems it necessary in order to secure the healthy and appropriate operations of the foreign bank branch, can request of the foreign bank (including parties who are in a special relationship with the said foreign bank as determined by Cabinet Order) which is related to the foreign bank branch, the filing of reports or data concerning the condition of the business or assets of the foreign bank.
